Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

A good substitute for a diesel engine, with similar mileage but petrol being cheaper. Can potter about in town with EV activated but don't expect to hold it in there when the pace picks up. The acceleration is good enough when you get used to the noise from the CVT transmission and you can pull out of junctions quite briskly but it is no sports model. I would only change it for a larger booted estate car with hybrid or fully electric.

How reliable do you find the car?

Only couple of minor issues such as the rear break calipers binding a little, nut other than that the reliability we have come to expect from a big brand Japanese car maker.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

The reality was I didn't expect the mileage claims from the hybrid but it did reach what I thought reasonable for an 1800cc petrol. The mileage varies with the season's, colder weather with more electrical systems running brings down the average and my commute was around 12 miles of country and main roads, very little town work. You cannot pull away from traffic lights, and keep up with traffic, in EV mode, the petrol engine is forced to kick in but moving along in heavy traffic it remains in EV mode until the battery is depleted. On the down side I found the boot a bit small for large dogs but for most people it would be adequate. It must be doibg something right as there are quite a few used as taxis.
