Toyota Avensis Tourer (2003 - 2008) 1.8 VVT-i T3-S 5d Owner Review

If I was to put the car down; then acceleration is good/ok even fully loaded but just like the general feel of the cars performance it just lacks that "Va Va Voom". That is where I would stop any criticism of this motor. It has a quality feel that ferries the whole family and dogs in comfort and above all in safety beyond its age. It does all this with an average MPG (urban-with alittle 40-60mph driving) of 47mpg, how it does that; I have no idea coz we're talking Micra MPG (circa 98-06). Build quality is suburb, as is the ride and stopping power. I could go on all day about how good this car is; have I driven more exciting? Hell yes; but I would trade them all in for this all round hard hitter, that if you do happen to get hit; will look after you.
