I'll keep it as long as it gets through the MOT each year - I've had 16 MOTs since 2002. It's so reliable and economical there's no reason to get rid of it. Its original white paintwork is still fine with only a few minor blemishes.Diesel Carina E's are now quite rare, but it could well outlive me !
How reliable do you find the car?
I've had it for 16 years - new starter motor, various ball joints, rusted fuel pipe to fuel tank, window winders wire rusted away + normal items - brake pads, cam belt, battery. Still with original radiator, silencer, almost no rust. No engine problems at all..Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Massive boot space - can fit in carpets, washing machines, furniture etc with back seats down. good turning circle for a longish car. Always starts up. Comfortable ride - suspension delightfully soggy. Good driving viewing position.About their car
