Excellent value, 2nd hand Gen 5 Celicas seem to have achieved the best of Quality parts & reliability.
Costs
Spares can be a little expensive, however they don't fail as often as other manufacturers.

Driving
This Review is for the JDM GT-R Great driving position, the steering is good if a little none direct, good handling unless pushed to the edge.
Performance
good overall performance, acceleration is good, top end is high enough for you to never reach it! due to weight it doesn't feel as sprightly as a smaller hatch.

Reliability
If well cared for reliability isn't an issue, the gen 5 Celicas are at the peak of quality, Toyota seemed to lower the quality of parts & manufacture after the Gen 5.

good overall image doesn't look as dated as the previous gen4. & is more attractive then a lot of modern cars. however with long bonnet & high boot corners can tend to suffer from careless parking.
Comfort
Good overall comfort front seats had options of electric lumbar & side controls on JDM models, rear seats little cramped for taller passengers, however the rears bench is comfortable.

Average security for age of car but lacks any factory immobiliser. after market alarm is essential.
Service
I have received great service from Toyota, all parts are still available including al the interior plastics & they do not mind that it is an Import.
