Costs
Pricy insurance. Costs a lot to fix if anything goes wrong and insurance is steep.

Driving
Light steering and easy to drive... yawn. Could do with fat tyres and the steering wheel is off a truck. Gearbox is a bit clunky.
Performance
Not bad for an old-school non-turbo diesel. Lots of power, but isn't very nippy. New diesels leave it for dead, as do 1.3 Fiestas :-(

Very good. Couple of age-related bits starting to go now though and are expensive to fix.

Water pump at 40k miles.

Radiator at 60k miles. Wiper linkage needs replacing - Toyota wants £200 for it!
