I bought a good car for £1000 and then spent about the same again. However, depreciation is nil & what else can you find for £2000.

Low running costs with MR2 club insurance & cheap parts & servicing from independent specialists.

Excellent due to position of engine in middle of car resulting in excellent weight distribution
Performance
0-60mph in less than 8 seconds and top speed of 120mph+. Engine revs to 8000rpm. What more performance could you need? Can outperform majority of modern cars and mine is 18 yrs old!

Living with it
Reliability
I have had to replace brakes & radiator, but this is an old car and i expect to have to replace items as they wear out. Engine is notorious for reliability, but make sure you service regularly incl. Good oil & filter.

Some love it and others don't. Personally, i love the angular design.
Comfort
Mine is the T-Bar. Wind noise, uncomfortable seats over a long period & noise, but hey, it is a sports car.
