Toyota Paseo 1996-
  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Considering the value is now approximatly between £1000 - £3000, and for cost of purchase it is excellent buy...fuel economy good if don't rev it too hard and servicing costs are not too bad either (as long as you put oil in it!)

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Insurance, fuel and taxation costs are very low and therefore very good!

  • On the road

    Driving

    3 out of 5 3.0

Posture of the car is very good...handling is stiff enough without being too hard and the amount of wind noise is considerably less than other small coupe's on the market. Very sure footed with close wheel base and comfortable enough for medium journeys

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

For a 1.5 engine, it moves very well with 0-60 in 10 seconds! Good for its bhp, but then it doesn't weigh much so handling is very good too

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very good… never had nay issues until i forgot to put oil in it and ran it on dry for 100 miles...not good as although worked perfect after, high revs made coarse noise!

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Not bad image for age, value, as mentioned before, cheaper version of Celica!

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

Reasonable for short to medium journeys. Will return good mpg over distance even if does give you bad back (compromise?)

  • Security and Service

    Security

    3 out of 5 3.0

Never had any issues, but then it doesn't really stand out too much...looks different (little sister Celica!)

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

Good service (had staff discount because of friend, which helps!)
