Value
I would never buy one new, but second hand they are very good value. I bought mine 1 year old for half price!
Costs
Fuel consumption is reasonable for the performance, but does suffer if you 'cane it'.

Driving
Standard it's Ok, but not as good as the Focus. I've lowered mine and added a strut bar. This has improved handling by about 40%
Performance
Good for a 1.8. Keeps up with my mate's 2.0 focus no problems. Just needs a bit more low down power >2000 rpm.

Reliability
Had car for 1 year, no problems at all, then the gearbox went - £400 bill. Other than that no problems.

Ok. At least it isn't as common as the focus. You see those things everywhere!
Comfort
Not bad, but seats could be better. Don't like the interior materials either, then again you get what you pay for.
