What does this car say about you?

As this was my second car (following an old P reg Astra) I was just looking for something a bit more fun, a bit stylish and not like the average Joe. Although the corsa is a very common car, the Exclusiv in this age Corsa was exactly that... exclusive! There is not to many around, they look nicer than most with: classy, sport body work (not cheap tacky add-ons); luxuries on the inside such as heated leather seats; nice standard alloys... yeah it is a nice little way of standing out without being expensive to buy, run or insure!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It was a very smart car for my age (at the time). Although my parents didn't think it was safe enough - it did feel a little like a tin can sometimes.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Maybe... if I had to go back and do it all again, I probably would because for a corsa the Exclusiv was very nice. But I am a little bit of a petrol head so I wouldn't go back to one now (or in the future).

What are you likely to buy next?

Well I went on to buy a Vauxhall Astra VXR so clearly I wasn't put of Vauxhalls :) haha.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Was a nice little second car, lots of extras - I didn't really want a corsa but this one impressed!

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

It was okay to drive. If you are getting a corsa of this ages then I would recommend looking for the Exclusiv! The ride was a little hard but it was a fun little car to drive. That said, it did have a habit of stepping the back end out... which is a little concerning... especially when wet. Some examples: 10 mph out of a carpark in summer it decided sideways was better. Again, about 15mph around a round about... just driving steady and the back end comes out. Thankfully no accidents but I would not recommend this car to someone who is going to push it to its limits... as clearly wet conditions might result in an accident!

    What's it like to park?

Very easy - little cars tend to be :).

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

It did start to get a water leak in the last few months of my ownership. It was coming somewhere and water would collect in the footwell behind the drivers seat. I didn't even have a sunroof :/.

What's most practical about your car?

The seats folded well so when going to Uni I could get a lot of stuff in!

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Heated Leather Seats.
