In their own words

The car suddenly started to go into limp mode with a red warning light on dash. It had a week of warranty left & the garage told me that it was a faulty battery which they replaced at a cost of £250. The car had been starting fine with the old battery. Soon after the warning light came on again but the car was now out of warranty. I stopped driving the car as the light was coming on more frequently. On inspection the engine oil pickup was totally blocked & the sump oil was full of rubber bits breaking off the timing belt. The car had only covered 43 k miles but the belt looked cracked & worn. This seems to be a very common problem with these engines at low mileage. I'm not convinced that running a wet timing belt is a good idea. There should be recall on these vehicles before it becomes an expensive repair issue. Poor customer service from the garage & dealership. I certainly would not recommend buying this car or any other with similar engines..
