  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Ex Vauxhall fleet car with excellent Network Q backup. A little bit of haggling goes a long way when buying a Signum.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Reasonable economy for the size of car, especially on motorway cruises and with the display set to show instant consumption.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Pleasure to drive. Not the sportiest car in its class, but it's comfortable, roomy and adequately responsive.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Again, not the sportiest in class, but quick enough to take some people by surprise.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Battery terminal worked loose - AA Parole told me that was his 2nd one that day and happened a lot on these and Vectras. Apart from that - no problems.

    4 out of 5 4.0

It's a Vauxhall, so no badge kudos here. However it attracts a lot of admiring attention due to its looks and relative scarcity.

    Comfort

    5 out of 5 5.0

Very roomy and comfortable - especially for 2 rear seat passengers. Travel assistant is great. Fridge, extra cup holders and power outlets as well as aircraft style tables keeps the kids quiet.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

Alarm, Immobiliser, Remote window closure and central deadlocking. Enough to put off all but the most determined thieving scum.

    Service

    4 out of 5 4.0

Pretty good on the whole, but don't expect the red carpet treatment.

  • Problems and Ownership
