  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

No idea, not really bothered what it says about me. I like it as does everyone who has been in it

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all like it. My sister knows when i am parking outside her house because of the exhaust note. They all say that Arden Blue colour really looks well.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would without a doubt have one again if they still made them.

What are you likely to buy next?

Ha, depends on money. Ideally it would be either an Insignia VXR or the VXR8 but we will have to wait and see.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    July 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

Bought from a Vauxhall dealer and got a super deal! Think they might of had it a while though!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Always loved the look of them, had to upgrade from my 2.2 Astra Coupe so perfect choice. Had to search hard to find one with an auto box as they only made 21 of them!

    What was the dealer like?

The dealers were great. The only slight problem was the free insurance they give you to tax the car, when I phoned to activate it they would not cover the engine size. My insurance sorted this for me though.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

With mine being the automatic version you have to learn how it likes to be driven and be one step ahead of it, when overtaking for example you have to gauge when to put for foot down for the box to kick down a gear. It takes a little getting used to but the plus side is the smoothness of the drive. The car pulls really well, the 2.8 V6 turbo engine delivers effortless performance, the huge brakes make it stop as well as it goes. This car will surprise many.

    What's it like to park?

As you would expect for something of its size really, just watch what your doing and you will get it in.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Had to replace the drop links within a couple of months of owning it but they were cheap and a doddle to do. The pencil coil on cylinder 4 packed in on the motorway giving it a massive mis-fire. Garage came out to my house and plugged it in for the fault. New part ordered and fitted, easy job being the middle front cylinder. Nothing else apart from normal brake replacement and tyres.

What's most practical about your car?

Has to be its size twinned with how it goes. You can fill it with people or boxes and it still pulls well.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I dont really have one, the sat nav is near to useless as it's out of date. I suppose the auto dimming rear mirror and door mirror are good when cruising down the motorway at night.
