Volkswagen Bora (1999 - 2005) 1.9 TDI Highline (130ps) 4d Owner Review

Bought with 100K on the clock, sold with 150K. Highline version is fully loaded (aircon, cruise, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, leather interior), and all the bells and whistles work fine - luxury motoring on a banger budget - apart from occasional problems with the door locks. When these locks fail, they can fail in a dead-lock mode which means you can't open the door. But apart from that these are brilliant cars, 130hp is easily enough and because it's the old 1.9 VW diesel there are no silly sensors to go wrong, and put you into limp-home mode. You won't see many of these cars around now, but if you can get a good one it's likely to serve you well. Highly recommended if you can find a good one.
