Getting very affordable now.
Costs
Nothing really has gone wrong with it. Petrol consumption is quite good for a 2.8.

OK, not brilliant. Hard ride. Does go around corners and bends quite well but it doesn't encourage fast driving around them.
Performance
Not lightening fast but adequate for most people. Only serious petrol heads would want more. Was expecting it to be a bit quicker for a 2.8 though.

The VR6 badge holds a lot of street cred. Awesome MK3 styling which in my opinion is the best golf.
Comfort
Very comfortable seat and driving position. Loads of wind noise at motorway speeds and you can fell every bump in the road.
