Volkswagen Passat Estate (2011 - 2014) 1.6 TDI Bluemotion Tech Highline 5d Owner Review

Very comfortable car to driver with many good features. Soon after I purchased the car it was recalled for a software update, following this the fuel economy fell, my previous car was a 2.0L version which would return 57mpg I now struggle to get 47mpg. I was very let down by Electrical problem which cost £1200 to put right. The supplying main Dealer sold me a 2 year extended warranty but fault was not covered due to an ingress of water into the main engine management computer? If you buy one get this item checked as I understand it is a common fault. Sorry Mr VW we will not be buying Volkswagen again.
