When searching for a powerful estate I wanted something that people didn't necessarily notice very much but were surprised when driven in it and notice that it may not be any ordinary passat. Passats are typically boring to look and be in but the bi-turbo model with 4 motion provides a comfortable cruiser that ticks the "sleeper/Q-car" box very well whilst still able to carry a huge amount of "stuff". Very unique model in the passat range that can easily outrun many of the more "premium" brands of similar size.
How reliable do you find the car?
Some minor consumable parts that needed replacing upon purchase. My second B8 passat, once maintained correctly it will be very reliable.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Bi-turbo engine provides an excellent boost of power from low revs. 4 motion system top class, especially in wet or slippery conditions. DSG box is seamless.
