Excellent on fuel, if you dont drive erratically.

Some expensive work, only pick the best.

Hard clutch, horrid stiff gearbox, shockingly poor control, wet is a joke, far too skinny tyres for a 1.3. Ride is awful and far too harsh, probably why handling is so bad. And it is bad.
Performance
Nippy, but not enough control.

Engine has only 50K, but its so good, never ever failed.

Comfort
Cramped. My Fiesta has twice the room, seats are rock hard; head rests don't come high enough, whiplash could be leathal.

a joke, fit a top knotch immobiliser and steering lock.

Poor to put it mildly. Volkswagen may have a high image but they don't have a clue when it come to aftersales.
