A bargain from a friend and an unexpected gift from a relative paid for the car.
Costs
Car is now 13 and has cost me about £400 this year but is worth repairing... all things I have had to repair have been original 13 year old bits!

Driving
I like the sturdiness and steadiness of my Polo... I am a novice driver and learned in a diesel... the Polo was equally heavy, which I find comforting.
Performance
Sometimes wish for a little more power up hills but I am no boy racer!

Living with it
Reliability
Has not let me down save with the clutch going and I should have listened to the car and taken her in to the garage.

I love her squareness and sturdiness and the fact that she is a real car not a disposable one like the hire car I had when on holiday in Eire.
Comfort
I like my car a lot... my daughter prefers it to friend's younger cars with smaller backseats i.e. the dreaded Punto!

I took out the parcel shelf and am pretty fastidious about what I leave in there... alarm still works just fine.
Service
Have had her serviced in local garage, not main dealer.
