What does this car say about you?

Wants a practical car which will cope in all weather conditions including snow (I live rural) and also wants a quality built car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

No neighbours - I live remote. Wouldn't care anyway.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes - excellent to drive and the auto hold handbrake is superb especially in stop/start traffic.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not thinking of this as yet.

    £24,800

When did you buy the car?

    May 2011

Did you get a good deal and why?

Reasonable. Tiguans tend to hold their prices and are much of a muchness wherever you buy.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted a 4WD which is not too big and also wanted German quality.

    Good

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very comfortable and holds the road well. No swaying on corners. Reasonable acceleration and cruising speeds. The driving position is excellent with its elevated seats but not too high as to make it hard to get in and out.

    What's it like to park?

Easy with the sensors. I haven't tried the auto parking yet - too scared of the technology!

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

No. However, fuel consumption isn't anything like the blurb and I don't drive excessively fast or furious. Expect around 33mpg combined - certainly not the claimed 38mpg!

What's most practical about your car?

Nothing exceptional - just like any 4WD or hatch with drop down rear seats.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Auto hold handbrake
