BYD Seal 6 Touring verdict
2025 onwards
(change model)

What we like
The BYD Seal 6 DM-i Touring represents excellent value for money, especially if you prioritise passenger space and equipment above outright boot capacity. I’m also a big fan of the brand’s hybrid system for its ability to consume its battery power gradually rather than in one hit at the start of your drive. My early impressions suggest this setup will offer better long-term average fuel economy.
What we don’t like
The ride is a little too firm. The Seal 6 is unsettled on bumpy B-roads, which could make it tiresome to drive in the UK. It also isn’t that engaging to drive and its European rivals have much larger boots (although you pay a lot more money for that extra capacity).
