The interior is comfortable but the layout is dull and the plastics feel cheap. The circular air vents are a nice touch and the air conditioning controls are easy to use, although they are placed low down. The aftermarket-style stereo is also fiddly to use. Overall it feels dated and as though it was built on a budget. Visibility is fine from the driver’s seat though and the driving position isn’t bad either.

Interior space is generally good all round, although rear legroom is quite tight. There’s decent space for the front passenger, with plenty of head and legroom and the soft seats and comfy – although we’d would prefer a little more support when undertaking a long trip. The ride is okay, although can get unsettled by rough roads, but on better surfaces it’s quite smooth, however all the engines are noisy at higher speeds and the Lacetti is lacking in noise insulation.
