Daewoo Lacetti Hatchback engines, drive and performance
2004 - 2005
(change model)
Choose between 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 litre petrol engines with power ranging from 92 – 122bhp. All engines are fairly lacklustre, lack pulling power and aren’t very refined. Unfortunately no diesel was offered. The 1.6 and 1.8 can be specified with an automatic gearbox, but it’s not a particularly impressive one.
Ride is a little harsh at slow speeds, but is comfortable enough on the motorway. The suspension is quite soft, but body-roll is rarely a problem and there is plenty of grip in corners. Not particularly exciting, but if you want to put your foot down, it won’t hold you back like Daewoos of old.
