Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 31 - 39 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Depreciation is a major concern. This model should perform better than older Daewoos, but it’s still being outperformed by European rivals. Servicing is free for the first three years (as is roadside assistance).

Nubira is not particularly environmentally friendly. With an average of 196 g/km CO2 across the model line-up, its emissions are fairly standard for a medium-sized saloon. It’s worth noting that the line-up does not feature any diesel models, which typically produce less carbon dioxide than petrol engines with similar power outputs. The range is not particularly economical, averaging 35 mpg.

Daewoos have usually been mechanically sound, but suffered from loose-fitting trim and other minor problems. This car is different, everything feels well screwed together, but some of the interior plastics could be better quality.
