What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 34 - 57 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Good fuel economy even from the ‘hot’ HGT engine. Servicing, insurance and parts costs are reasonable, but you might need to budget for some repairs – Punto isn’t the most reliable car in class by some distance.
Nothing major, but plenty of niggling faults that cost in both time and money to get fixed. Inconsistency means you could get a good one but plenty of ‘Friday cars’ abound.
