Lexus LS Saloon (1990 - 2000) boot space, practicality and safety
The VSC, traction control and anti-lock braking system are collectively designed to increase driving safety, through quick responsiveness and greater stability. More recent models come with improved safety, with force limiters on front seat belts and the fitting of a headrest to the central rear seat. The anti-theft measures in the Lexus seem to be fairly resilient and arduous, and although a tracker might be advisable, LS400 are rarely targeted.
The central folding armrests are plump and restful, proving handy on long journeys for extra support and comfort. Boot space and headroom is ample, while the five-door design ensures that back seat access and rear loading is a doddle. LS400 is best kept on motorways, as it is a little out of its depth on twisty bends, but the Lexus’ all-round capabilities are very impressive.
