Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 40 - 67 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

MINI Paceman running costs should be competitive with rivals. The most frugal engine is the 112bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine. It has a claimed average economy of 64.2mpg so expect to achieve in and around the high 50s mark in real world driving.

MINI Paceman emissions have been kept low thanks to the MINI MINIMALISM system.

Fitted as standard this tech includes Auto Start/Stop, Shift Point Display, Brake Energy Regeneration and on-demand operation of ancillary units, all of which help cut fuel use and reduce emissions.

The greenest engine on the range is the 112bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine emitting 115g/km of CO2.

You’re unlikely to get any grief as the MINI Paceman reliability record is pretty good. MINI has performed well in customer satisfaction surveys in the past and we expect that to continue with the Paceman.
