The Qashqai+2 is priced competitively against compact seven seat people carriers, and insurance should also be modest. The CVT automatic on the petrol model has lower fuel consumption than the manual, although the diesel will make more sense for average to high-mileage drivers. Unlike most Nissans to date the service intervals are 12,500 miles rather than 9,000, which allows the car to travel further without potentially costly visits to the dealer.

Most Qashqai+2 buyers will plump for diesel versions which have modest CO2 outputs, although the automatic diesel 4×4 has a rather less green 209g/km.

Nissan has a well-founded reputation for reliability and durability and there should be no problems with the Qashqai+2. However there have been several recalls on the standard Qashqai.
