Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 26 - 42 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Reasonable fuel consumption and running costs, particularly with the diesel engines. Low insurance groupings. Peugeot servicing tends to be good value and parts are cheap, but the diesel needs servicing every 6000 miles. Two and three-year-old cars will have done the largest part of their depreciating.

Mechanically strong – one of the reasons they’re favoured by taxi firms. Problems come from dodgy electrics and tatty interior trim. Some engine problems of cars over 160,000 miles – but this is to be expected.
