Renault Clio Renaultsport (2001 - 2005) boot space, practicality and safety
As you would expect from Renault it has all the safety equipment you could expect, including ABS (although this is absent from the 172 ‘Cup’) and traction control. Euro NCAP rate Clio as a four-star car – a respectable score for a supermini. Security lacks only deadlocks.
Clio doesn’t have the biggest boot in its class, but it will just about cope with a mid-week family shop. If you want the maximum practicality then you’d be better looking at something else as the Clio isn’t biggest in its class but the boot will do for most needs and the seat backs do split fold. Doorbins, a decent-sized glovebox and a small cubby/cupholder in the centre console for storage.
