A comfortable driving position is easy to find, there’s a good all-round view and a comfortable highly-adjustable seat. The handbrake looks like an aircraft throttle and takes a little adapting too. Six-speed gearbox isn’t always easy to use, keyless entry and start button are useful gimmicks. Driver sits high, controls are easy to use apart from the handbrake which is just silly.

Legroom lets the interior down – it’s lacking for taller passengers, although the tall shape means that headroom is good. Kids won’t complain, and gangly teenagers will just about cope. Seats are comfy enough for longer stretches on the road. Headrests look strange, but are highly adjustable (both up-and-down and forward and back) and work well.
