The body incorporates a strong safety cell to protect occupants in an accident, and there are twin airbags. A electronic stability ESP system is also fitted as standard which isn't that common in cars of this size and value. The Coupe gets a hard-top as standard for extra security plus an alarm and immobiliser.
The Coupe has storage space in the front boot, and a second area in the back which, thanks to the rear glass canopy, provides more space than the Roadster. There's not loads of space but you ought to get a weeks shopping or a weekends luggage for two inside - but only in overnight bags or very compact hand luggage. The tiny door pockets are pretty much useless and the thin glovebox won't hold much either.
The two-piece plastic roof can be removed and stored in the back (thanks to special polystyrene holders) and the side bars also come off to give a great open-top driving experience. Removing the roof isn't that straightforward and takes a few goes to get used to. It's also much easier to do with two people.
