Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 32 - 44 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

On the whole quite keenly priced on the secondhand market, now that it has done the majority of its depreciating. Servicing and parts costs similar to other smaller Toyotas with insurance starting at group 7. Economy is good on the 1.3 at over 40 mpg whilst the 1.6s return mid 30s mpg and the diesel climbs back into the 40s again.

Although designed specifically for Europe (and later built here), there is no change in high levels of quality and complete reliability. No significant faults have yet been reported.
