The Toyota Verso is a five-door compact MPV people-carrier which was unveiled in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show. It’s a successor to the Corolla Verso, and can be found in both five- and seven-seat incarnations.
Its main selling point was its safety credentials. Euro NCAP awarded the Verso a maximum five stars in its crash-testing in 2010, and the firm also decided to provide a five-year, 100,000-mile warranty on all of its new cars too.
There were a number of engines on offer, including a BMW-built 1.6-litre diesel which replaced Toyota’s own 2.0-litre diesel in 2014. Other diesels included a 2.0-litre and a 2.2-litre.
