I leased my Audi A4 1.4 TFSI Avant for nearly 2 years, then bought it from the Audi leasing. I have previously driven mainly BMWs estates. I really have enjoyed driving this car. Beautifully made, smart interior, looks good and drives well. Not as sporty as the BMW 3 but good enough. Lots of space for the family and big boot. Power tailgate is brilliant. I get around 400miles for mainly motorway miles. Sadly the car only return 25mpg around town, and the stop/start never seems to work. The car is super quiet, and comfortable. But the common problem with the ABS PUMP and CONTROL UNIT should be a worry. Be warned.
How reliable do you find the car?
Big issue with ABS BRAKE PUMP AND CONTROL UNIT which is apparently a common problem. The ABS warning light is on so I took it to AUDI along with a regular service, Audi have initially said this is a £4000 fix! Yes £4000... ridiculous! Apparently one electronic part blocks the other. I'm not sure why this has happened, but the brakes themselves were in good condition to this point. Other mute points are the Sat Nav that had to be fixed thrice and the handsfree only works 50% of the time. Stop start does not work as described.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Having driven the car from new I was originally quite happy with it however the car does not seem to be as reliable as I hoped after 7 years.
