  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Understated, fast, safe and doesn't want to show off about it like the chavvy m3's and lahry C63's.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Understated, elegant, beautiful without being too in your face.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Defiantly, it's practical, safe, fast and handles brilliantly!

What are you likely to buy next?

    R8, RS5.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £18,500

When did you buy the car?

    August 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

Brought from a independent Porsche dealer who took it in as a part exchange. It had 44k on the clock and had one owner from new, other s5's I'd viewed with the extra's it had an the condition and spec were over £20k.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

A 30th birthday present to myself.

    What was the dealer like?

Brilliant, great guy, friendly, honest and great communication and I was impressed by the standard of which the car was detailed for my collection. Would defiantly deal with Lewis James Porsche of Huddersfield again.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Thanks to it's quattro system it's just soo planted! I can't explain it but it really does just grip and it feels so predictable and safe. Makes all them m3's and c63's feel so twitchy and pointless. Just goes to prove how much more important handling is over power. It's no slouch mind but I don't think i'd ever buy a fwd/ rwd car again.

    What's it like to park?

Well it's a big car with 35 r19's so it's never going to be the easiest but thanks to all round parking it's fine for the experienced.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not yet touch wood, however it does seem to steam up a bit but i had the same problem with my golf. I think it's a common problem with Audi/ VW as I know of a lot of people who have the same problem even in newer cars.

What's most practical about your car?

The boot is huge, seems a bit of a waste really as i only use it as a weekend runner so the boot never gets used. Nice to know it's there though if I ever need to go away for a weekend.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Advanced key entry:- I never need to get the key out my pocket thanks to this option, as long as you have the key in your pocket you can walk up to the car, get in and drive away and even get out an lock it without even touching the key. I wouldn;t buy a car again without this option, yes it's that good! Cruise control:- Never had cruise control before but does make life easy when you hit them awful 50mph roadworks! Bang & Olfsen sound:- not heard the standard system but it sounds sharp, smooth and very clear, although bass could be deeper.
