Audi Coupe
  • Economy

    Value

    3 out of 5 3.0

I bought mine for £1700. It had done 150k, but still feels a lot more solid than some newer cars.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

So far I am happy. Spent £1900 in total on car so far, which is within my budget.

    Driving

REALLY like driving this car. Good visibility. Very comfortable seats in front and rear. Can happily drive 200 miles without any aches or pains.

    Performance

    2 out of 5 2.0

Not as good as I would have expected. Wish I went for 16V or 2.3 L. However I'm not complaining too much as you still get a bit of a G force push when accelerating in 2nd/3rd.

Only had it for 3 weeks, but so far so good...

I've actually noticed people looking at the car! All my mates are jealous. I feel nice in it - and it's a lot rarer than your standard BMW 3.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Like I stated before, very comfortable driving position as fully adjustable seats. No steering adjustment though. Boot space is POOR. *DO NOT* expect to fit more than a small suitcase or a couple of holdalls in the boot. Parcel shelf does not lift auto.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

So far fine. Manufacturer fitted C/L, but previous owner had Thatcham 1 fitted.

    Service

    1 out of 5 1.0

POOR. Phoned Whetstone Audi to be put through to service, but they just had me on hold. Happened 3 times. Won't call them again.

  • Problems and Ownership

Engine mounts are loose. Mechanic has patched. Proper job would be around 200 quid.

    Other

RHF CVJ boot replaced (split). Left rear hydraulic brake pipe replaced (corrosion). Exhaust clips.
