They all love it... at least until they hear about the problems.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I wouldn't buy a ford again. I love the looks but the customer service and client care is absolutely shocking.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I don't think that I've a particularly good deal, but I desperately needed a decent, reliable car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Like the looks, fuel economy claimed by the manufacturer.

What was the dealer like?

Quite pushy and arrogant, trying to sell all sorts of accessories with the car.

What's it like to drive?

Due to the faults and all the knocking and clunks in the suspension, steering column I never know if I can trust the car. According to the dealer 'it's safe to driver' despite the fact they can't find the fault even though they are able to confirm the noise. Once you hit 70mph the car becomes really loud but I suppose that the car isn't designed for motorways. It's a shame really because it would make a perfect motorway runabout if it had 1 extra geat. Fuel economy is half decent. I average about 52mpg (85% motorway miles at 70mph). I was hoping to get a bit more since the manufacturer claims that the average is more than 70mpg.

Easy to park.

Have you had any problems with the car?

In the first week of owning the car and 25k on the clock I had to take it back and have the timing belt and water pump replaced and the engine was rattling really badly. Also during the first week the car developed a clunk noise coming from front suspension. Despite 12 visits to the service this fault has not been rectified and they are 'unable to find the cause of it' When turning the steering wheel there is a knocking noise- the dealer is also unable to fix this.

What's most practical about your car?

It's size, road tax band b which is only £20 per week, Half decent fuel economy.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Street pack, makes the car stand out a bit. The fiesta is quite basic and there are not many options to go with. Quite impressed with the safety features ie knee airbag, curtains etc. Heated windscreen comes in handy.
