• Summary

What does this car say about you?

Got a big load to move (usually family but can also move large items of furniture or a few bikes. Can take lots of school friends.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Looks good and very comfortable inside.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No because the customer service received from the local dealer/garage is appalling and Kia are not prepared to do anything as they are a large franchise. There is no other local alternative to deal with so I will choose not to avoid the brand.

What are you likely to buy next?

The Kia Sedona was a replacement for our Land Rover Discovery when the prices went up with the introduction of the Discovery4. If we can afford a Discovery I will choose one.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    December 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

Decided to lease the car through an Internet broker. They were brilliant and once all the paperwork completed (on-line) the car was delivered to my home.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    Needed a 7 seater.

    What was the dealer like?

My local dealer was very off- hand when I took one for a test drive. The online broker was excellent and I would use them again.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

It only has a 2.2 engine but has lots of torque and enough power to pull a caravan as well as all 6 of us. Smooth on motorways and surprisingly good (for a big car) on normal roads.

    What's it like to park?

Rear view camera and good steering lock make it easy to park despite the size.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Car was acquired new so there have been few faults. It has been recovered by the RAC to my local dealer twice with an electrical fault. The local dealer took 10 days to replace the alternator and 7 days to replace the battery on the 2nd occasion. Other minor faults have been with a spurious warning that the handbrake is still on and seats difficult to fold/move or reconfigure.

What's most practical about your car?

The interior space and versatility (when seats do move; see faults above) is superb making it a comfortable vehicle for a large family of 6 plus baggage.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Power doors are a great gadget even if unnecessary they are used all the time. The reversing camera is another useful gadget.
