• Summary

What does this car say about you?

That MPG is more important than MPH.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

    They like it.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No. Too many niggly faults. This could have been a great car but poor reliability is the only let down. I'd like to give it more stars but 3 feels generous.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Maybe a Kia.

    Very helpful and professional.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Very easy to drive. The engine pulls it along effortlessly and the gear change is smooth. The view ahead is also excellent due to the high driving position.

    What's it like to park?

Fairly easy thanks to the large windows and virtually flat backside.

Have you had any problems with the car?

It needed both headlight bulbs replacing at 10K miles, one of which later blew again after a further 1K miles. The car is now on 22K miles and is booked into the dealer for the following faults: Windscreen washer pumps need replacing, the heater doesn't blow hot air, the dashboard lights only illuminate whenever they feel like it and one of the rear light clusters needs replacing. Also the rear window catches seem to work their way loose and need to be tightened once or twice a month.

What's most practical about your car?

The sheer size of the Berlingo means that you can pack virtually anything you want into it. I even moved my sister with it - the fridge was a tight squeeze but it went in!

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Air-con.
