What does this car say about you?

Some people are surprised to find a woman driving a 2.5 litre V6, but I love a car with a bit of guts. It is highly admired by mechanics etc who see it. I think it says I'm not a dippy bird & I DO know something about cars!!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My husband has not been driving for very long and finds it rather powerful. Extended family love it because there's so much room in the back seats!

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would most definately buy exactly the same car all over again, except it's no longer made!! I fell in love with it when I bought it, and 8 years on, I still feel the same buzz when I drive it.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Probably a Mondeo TDCI Ghia.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £11,000

When did you buy the car?

    April 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?

I felt I paid a good price for the car, given it's milage of 9500 and only 18 months old. List price new was approx double what I paid, so I was quite happy.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I test drove it and had to have it.

    What was the dealer like?

Pretty useless aftersales. The driver's door leaked, & upon returning to the garage, expecting to get it fixed, I was fobbed off by being told it would be almost impossible to fix water ingress - and told to park it up hill. I was so incensed, I never bothered to go back, and put up with the problem.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Fantastic. A close ratio gear box and hi torque engine mean I can drive around town with minimal gear changing. It also has plenty of power, and I feel very safe driving it. The cabin and drivers area is well laid out.

    What's it like to park?

A rear parking sensor would have been a great addition. It's a long car which fills a car park space full length.
