In their own words

In the need of a larger estate car rather than our Volvo V40 Hatch due to a new comer to the family, we looked at the standard German marques, and also Volvo estates being what they are known for. In our price range (sub 15k) Volvo only had their V60 which is a small estate, or the V70 which is boxy and dated. We stumbled upon the Jag XF at a specialist, and loved the look of it and the interior. Better looking in my opinion than any German equivalent, and after test driving it, the handling with the double wishbones was so much better than any other estate we tried. The one we tested first was a 3.0d V6 S which was out of our budget, but a main dealer had a lower mileage 2.2d not too far away. Engine wasn’t as smooth as the V6, but still pulled well and couldn’t hear it that much in the cabin. Drove equally as smoothly and very comfortable place to be in. After discussions it with the dealer we got it for a good price with the whole car having a touch up and wheel refurb. The only issues we had since picking it up was an issue with the cam belt not being changed when it should have (dealer sorted no problem) and also a door lock issue which again resolved no problem. In summary excellent car which if you want something left field rather the norm, go for the Jag. You won’t be disappointed. We get looks all the time, especially as we are both mid thirties, I don’t think they expect people our age in this car!
