• Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

It says I like executive quality that equals BMW and Audi etc but in a go anywhere kick ass package.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Excellent. They love the looks but like the fact that it's not too big and has the tax and fuel saving stop/start system.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. It is as good as any executive car and has a premium badge but also laughs at snow etc where a BMW would get stuck on a snowflake.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not had this long enough yet but probably another freelander.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Minimal wind and road noise. Very quick for an 1800kg car thanks to 2.2 turbo diesel with 160bhp and 295lb ft of torque. Stop/start is quality in traffic and it is very smooth to drive.

    What's it like to park?

Tricky being such a big car but the big wing mirrors, parking sensors and high driving position help.

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Not yet fingers crossed!

What's most practical about your car?

Large boot and load area. Reversible boot floor cover to reveal waterproof surface. Makes mincemeat of towing things like caravans and trailers.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Tough one. Cruise control, climate control, terrain response and bluetooth are all fab.
