  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

Family man, who's not too bothered about the badge, just the car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My wife and children love it. A few friends have even replaced their Freelanders or ageing V70's etc. with the latest models of these (04 reg). Neighbours have a Discovery and E-class, so they hate it!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, because it is such a good family car.

What are you likely to buy next?

A VW Passat TDi 170 SEL Auto Estate.

    May 2004

Did you get a good deal and why?

It was one the last 406's so he wanted the full price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    Space, looks, drive, price etc.

    What was the dealer like?

Renwicks Peugeot, Exeter were brilliant until they got my money. When the Warranty runs out, I shall be using a indepent Peueot specialist for servicing etc. because I don't want to have to put up with the poor level of service that I get from Renwicks.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Brilliant, the Auto 'box and the 2.0 HDi 110 Diesel engine work together perfectly. I do 20,000 miles a year (mostly on motorways). It cruises very happily at 90 mph without too much wind/engine noise.

    What's it like to park?

The rear headrests do block the rear screen but once you get used to that, parking is 'OK'.
