Rover 200 Coupe 220 2d (1995/M) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Very cheap, as no-one wants them now the parent company no longer exists.
Costs
Didn't own it long enough to find out.
-
On the road
Driving
Not bad for age of design, tight handling only spoiled by creaky body.
Performance
Pokey performer when it worked, ran rough in wet weather.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Electrical system install by blind monkeys, central locking system was haunted
Image
A joke that this was once sold as a BMW rival! Only the just about stylish coupe shape saves it from being a complete embarrasment
Comfort
Half leather seats are a nice shape, good driving position, controls are easy to use, and it cruised nicely at motorway speeds (when it worked).
-
Security and Service
Security
Had a standard alarm (which was possessed by demons) standard Japanese locks would be easy to break into.
Service
Dealers unable to help with anything on this older model,
