Value
Jap import Turbos are excellent VFM, same price as equivalent UK non-turbo models but at LEAST 220bhp :-)
Costs
Can be expensive to run - even simple clutch changes or timing belt changes means engine out :-(

Driving
WOW! You may have heard bad reviews of this car, but don't believe them. If you're a fan of rear drivers then this is more fun than a game of naked twister with a group of page 3 models! Tip: Earlier 90/91 Turbo cars had most oversteer-geared handling!
Performance
1200kilos, 220bhp, rear wheel drive, 'slowest' turbo does 0-60 in 5.8! Simple tuning can yield 270-280bhp = 162mph redline in 5th!

Living with it
Reliability
Some engine problems; radiator in front that is a pain to bleed! Gearbox syncros aren't the most sturdily built! Watch out for poorly done tuning (turbos).

Get a black one on the right set of 17inch wheels, keep it polished and watch those heads turn! Like a fine wine, its getting better with age (and less hairdresser-ish!)
Comfort
Only 2 seats, but excellent support and supple suspension = comfortable ride. Engine behind you means slightly more than expected motorway noise.

Improved with age, but not the most secure of cars early on, get a decent aftermarket alarm.

Go to a specialist for turbo maintainence, Toyota dealers are rather clueless when it comes to this machine.

Turbo needs fresh oil. Watch out for imports that are modified, mine had an incorrectly fitted dump-valve that resulted in fueling problems!
