Other Vauxhall Corsa (2006 - 2014) models:

  • Summary

    3 out of 5 3.0

What does this car say about you?

Nothing. It is a very anonymous little car. (Sample picture of my model shown).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Nothing for same reason as above.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Possibly as it is an average small cheap-to-run car, but then maybe not as the dealer service was so poor and Vauxhall just passed my complaint back to the dealer.

What are you likely to buy next?

Another motorbike and a season ticket for the tube.

  • Buying experience

    1 out of 5 1.0

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £7,500

When did you buy the car?

    October 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Paid £7500 which seemed to be the going rate at most of the larger UK dealers.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a cheap little runabout to commute in during a 9 month temporary job contract in Scotland.

    What was the dealer like?

Atrocious. Arnold Clark, Linwood in Scotland. Car was dirty inside on back seat & carpet, oil level half way down dip-stick, and grossly under-inflated tyres, no evidence of pre-delivery inspection or valet despite salesman saying it had been. Complained to Vauxhall who just referred back to dealer, so customer service very poor.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Reasonable. 1.0 engine and quite heavy car so slow but not unreasonably so. Overtaking not an option much of the time. Handling ok for type of car. Brakes ok.

    What's it like to park?

Easy. It is a supermini after all!

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

At 3 months old it wouldn't start, and had to get AA out. Rattle from osf suspension over bumps. Engine ocasionally stutters as if damp.

What's most practical about your car?

Small, cheap and easy to own.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Favourite: Remote central locking is handy. Least Favourite: Seatbelt warning alarm is annoying.
