In their own words

A very nice looking and comfortable car, I bought this Insignia as I do a lot of motorway driving and it has been perfect for that purpose.

Exclusiv model is rather basic - I would recommend an SRi or higher spec. It does have a/c and electric windows and mirrors and all the modern essentials however. Wheel trims let the car down, a nice set of alloys would also be much better. Interior is nice and comfortable, quiet and smooth on the move. Car handles OK for its size. My car is very grey, common and dull color. Spacious up front, though rear headroom is limited for 6 footers.

1.8 petrol is a pretty mediocre engine, average performance and economy. Reliable enough however if you keep up servicing and belt changes. Watch out for coolant leaks, very common fault I have had to deal with twice (thermostat first then header tank leaked). Gearbox was also reconditioned on mines before purchase, another apparently common expensive fault. The later 1.4 turbo petrol is better so I have heard, and updated 2013 onwards cars. And the diesels of all generations although powerful and economical are apparently unreliable.

Insignia has been fine, but the Ford Mondeo is still the better car. In short though for a cheap used car at the age and mileage it has served me well the past 8 months and I hope to keep it until it dies.
