In their own words

I bought this car nearly 8 months ago to replace my ageing Vectra that had nearly 300,000 miles on the clock, and I can honestly say that even though it was 10 years old when I bought it, it drives and feels like it’s half that age and a totally different car altogether compared to the Vectra. I was impressed with the almost coupe like styling and although I would prefer a few less buttons on the dash, the style, comfort and quality of the interior can easily be compared to the same age Audi, and in SRi spec there’s plenty of kit and safety features. Being the 160bhp model there is plenty of power for overtaking and at speed it is a very relaxed and comfortable cruiser for long journeys, although I did find it to be a bit noisier than I was expecting, especially road noise from the 18 inch wheels.
So far I’ve done 12,000 miles in this car, and I can say that it’s been relatively trouble free. There’s been a few niggles along the way, broken abs sensor, worn ball joints and binding rear brakes, all easily and cheaply fixed, but no horror stories to report even though it’s a high miler. And I’m averaging 49mpg to date which isn’t bad for such a big heavy car.
Overall, I can honestly say I’m loving this car at the moment. I know it’s early days but it’s done me proud so far.
