What does this car say about you?

My car says that I'm a family gal with a family car. It's messy, dirty and breaking all over so I suppose it's just about ready to be replaced.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

I think their silence speaks volumes!

Would you buy this car again and why?

I wouldn't buy this car again as it's old! It's got no humph, no mp3 in-car stereo, no stereo at all really. It's dated and the boot, although big enough, is a bit awkward to get things in and out of. As much as this car is an all rounder, I've always been apathetic towards it.

What are you likely to buy next?

I'm as fickle as the wind...

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £2,000

When did you buy the car?

    January 2013

Did you get a good deal and why?

As a first time buyer, it's hard to remember all the little things to look out for. After buying the car, it was apparent the odometer was malfunctioning and counting about 6 times the distance driven. The dealer didn't want to know.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I needed a family saloon to house the two car seats and buggy.

    What was the dealer like?

He didn't want to know about the car's issues as it seemed to us he'd taken on the car as a part-exchange and just wanted rid of it.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

It's old! I don't really feel confident overtaking on standard roads as it's not got the beans. It doesn't have much beans at all!! The petrol is ok but I'm mostly a short distance driver. .

    What's it like to park?

Not bad - swing it in. Not too big at all.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Well let's see: the glovebox lock has broken and then the outer case snapped off. This in now in the boot and a chopstick is cleverly holding the glovebox shut. Some sticky drink has dribbled all over the stereo so now I'm stuck on Radio One. The door open light flicks on and off - this I think is because one of the fuses needs replacing. The starter motor makes a right noise when I turn the ignition but so far, she's kept on trooping. I've had a few issues with the ABS light coming on but again, after taking out the fuses and giving them a rub, all seems ok again. The miles on the clock up race at about six times the speed and I really have no idea how many miles the poor car has done but so far is showing close to 175,000.

What's most practical about your car?

Got a good sized boot and easy console to use.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

I like the cupholder :) And the blue and flourescent red dash lights.
