What does this car say about you?

My wife says the car suits me to a "T", I'm of a solid build and the car reflects that with its robust build quality whilst having stylish lines. It just gets on with the job in hand, like me!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Good looking and ideal for my needs, my wife will actually suggest taking the Passat whereas the previous A4 Avant was too low and she felt uncomfortable in it despite being slightly better specced.

Would you buy this car again and why?

In fact I have bought this car again. I have had T reg, 56 and 58 plated versions previously so yes definitely I'd buy VW Passat estate again.

What are you likely to buy next?

Perhaps the same unless my wife wins me over for a Golf Convertible?

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes I believe so. The car was one of several pre-registered and in stock in standard build, choice of colours, mine had a towbar fitted and the car was made available within a few days with 6 miles on the clock. VW finance rate was good and no deposit. Just what I was looking for as I provide my own work vehicle.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Pre-registered by VW but new with zero miles and discounted price from £26,000 to just £20,000.

What was the dealer like?

Ridgeway Newbury couldn't have been more helpful, arranged the deal to suit me, allocated the car and delivered inside a week.

What's it like to drive?

Effortless, the driving position, steering wheel, DSG, cruise and brake functions just make this one of the easiest cars to drive today.

What's it like to park?

For a big car I have no problem even without the parking sensors I am used to, great visibility and turning circle.

Have you had any problems with the car?

So far after just over 4,000 miles in 10 weeks no issues, great performance and excellent return of around 44mpg, considering the average speed it travels at! (Generally high speed motorway).

What's most practical about your car?

The space inside the Passat estate is paramount, both cabin roominess and load area have to be class leaders, things like coming/leaving home lights, auto wipers and lights, comfy seats, part electric drivers, DAB radio and VW music interface makes playing and powering handhelds easy. Bluemotion and cruise make the car so easy to drive.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

DSG (Auto) has to be the best feature, I've never had such a smooth gearchange, combined with auto handbreak and Hill Hold makes driving so simple.
